Derek and Karen provided really good service, offering us urgent medical assistance when needed and ensuring we felt welcomed. The warm heating made our stay very comfortable despite the cold weather outside.

Location was Ok for seeing Wanaka
I stayed at about 8 New Zealand hotels in both the North & South Island. All the others were very good. But this one was very disappointing and was poor value. The rooms were cramped and a bit delapidated. The "servicing" didn't include making the beds nor tidying up,. It's difficult to see what was done by way of service. The place was full of notices to guests prohibiting this, that and the other. It is too nesar the main road - rooms at the front will suffer from traffic noise - a rare complaint in New Zealand.I will avoid this place on any future visit to Wanaka - itself a lovely wee village

Kitchen is quite cramped!!! More or larger pots and pans would be appreciated!!! The decor throughout felt a bit worn out, in need of a refresh.

probably the best value for money, considering the location and the event we were supporting. Very helpful friendly staff.
Didnt like smoking taking place immediately out side our rooms (we had to shut the door)

I liked that the outside lights were kept to a minimum at night
Decent grain bread for breakfast would be a plus

We enjoyed staying at the Alpine Motel. It is an older style motel and we found it adequate with no frills. The bed was very comfy and staff very friendly
Bathroom was very small

I liked the closeness to town and the parking outside the unit was usefull for moving ski gear in and out.
The units are dated but OK

Couples, highly recommend this place!
He was super friendly, gave us local tips on where to eat, and even shared restaurant vouchers. And wait, we got a free beer! That's definitely a plus after a long day. Our room was clean and cozy with great heating, it was cold outside, but inside it was like a safe haven.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still reasonable for what you get.

Comfortable beds, warm room when heater on. Good location in town. Great shower.
Didn't like the kitchen or bathroom, (apart from shower!) Furnishings weren't very nice.

Good stove with full oven and staff provided a baking tray upon request
It seemed expensive relative to other places we stayed at in NZ

The room was clean and well-equipped, and I loved the great shower pressure after a long day. There are nice BBQ facilities if you want to grill. A cozy garden area to relax in. The only downside was the slightly higher price compared to other stays, but it was worth it overall 😊
